Welcome to Rebel’s Run Ranch, home to Matt, Darla, Macy, Lily and Ty Worthey…as well as a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Dixie, too many coyote hunting dogs, and over 50 Boer Goats!
We purchased our first Boer goats in 2006 and were immediately hooked. Our hope at the time was that our daughter, Macy, who was just a year old, would love them and be able to help with them on the farm. Cows were too big, pigs were too loud, but Boer goats were just right. Well, Macy LOVED them immediately and her love for them has only grown. Macy joined 4-H in 2013 and showed at the Clay County Fair in 2014, winning Grand Champion with her beloved wether, Stormie. That is when the love of raising goats turned into an interest in showing goats.
That interest in showing has transformed our life…we have increased our herd to include many quality purebred and fullblood goats with many different well known genetics. Some of these genetics include: AABG Status Quo, C S B Ruger Reloaded, RRD Brass Shot, RDBG Serendipity, Agnew’s Excaliber, Eggcoricist, CNR Pistolero, DCW – Bo Jangle, Back 2 Nature Polar Express, and Capriole’s Meteor. We even purchased an awesome buck, Smokin’ A Fatty, from Redden Brother’s Livestock with the hopes to produce our own show quality goats.
With our herd numbers increasing, we found that we had to modify our barn and pastures to accommodate these larger numbers. We just couldn’t find the right equipment for our goats at any of the local farm stores. That’s when we started looking at the feeders, panels and goat tote we had purchased in 2006…they were all manufactured by Northeast Gate Company. We contacted the company directly and through many discussions and prayers, we became dealers for Northeast Gate Company.
Our adventure with raising show quality Boer Goats and selling Northeast Gate Company livestock equipment is just beginning and we are so excited to see where it will lead! Please check out our site to find out more about our goats and livestock equipment. You can join us on this journey by following us on our Facebook page at Rebel’s Run Ranch. We look forward to sharing this adventure with you all! Thanks for stopping by!
